LOSANTVILLE:
Alice Catherine Hunt, 85, of Losantville, died Sunday, September 30, 2007, in Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, following a long illness.
She was born in Muncie on April 22, 1922, the daughter of Clayton and Ethel Reyburn Daugherty.
Alice assisted her husband of 57 years, Rev. Byron Hunt, in pastoring Nazarene Churches in many communities, including Muncie, Lafayette, Indianapolis, Lebanon, Madison and Greens Fork. She served as choir director and was active with the youth ministry. She was very active with the Northeastern Indiana Nazarene Children’s Campground in Marion and worked as a librarian in many communities. She was a member of Hagerstown Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 4 children, James C. Hunt of Woodburn, IN, Beth A. Hunt Michael Wallace of Noblesville, Jonathan M. Hunt of Newark, OH and Andrew L. Hunt of Cleveland, TN; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John S. Daugherty and Charles Daugherty;
2 sisters, Marian Fletcher and Ruth Lester.
Services will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday, October 3, in Hagerstown Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Robert Fannin and Rev. James Ballenger will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, near Losantville. Visitation will be 5 to 8 P.M. Tuesday in Culberson Funeral Home, Hagerstown, and after 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at the church.
