Dorothy R. Port, 84, a long time Hagerstown resident, died Saturday, October 4, 2008, in Rose Gate Village, Richmond.

She was born in Henry County on August 13, 1924, the daughter of Orris and Goldie (Bridgeman) Maddy, and lived most of her life in the Hagerstown area.

She was a retired employee of Perfect Circle / Dana Corp., and a member of Perfect Circle 25 Year

Club.Dorothy is survived by 1 son, Sam Port (Jane) of Cambridge City; 3 grandchildren, Lorri Davis and Todd Port (Carrie), both of Richmond, Gretchen Weston of Cambridge City; 1 sister, Martha Bavender of Muncie and a step-brother-in-law, William Johnson (Maxine) of Middletown, OH.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chesley Port, in 2006; a brother, Richard Maddy; 2 sisters, Margaret Bickel and Mary Fannin; a grandson-in-law, Wade Weston; 2 great-grandchildren.

Private services will be at the convenience of the family, with burial in Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown. There will be no public calling.

Memorials should be made to Cambridge City Christian Church, 106 W. Church St., Cambridge City, IN 47327.
