I am so sorry to hear of Eileen's passing.  She was such a special part of my childhood and memories.  She and Ralph had cows in the barn lot next to ours and my sister and I visited with them quite often.  Eileen had such an infectious laugh and always seemed happy even though I know she and Ralph worked very hard.  I moved away from the area once I married and whenever I would return and our paths would cross, it was like seeing a long lost friend.  She would always put a smile on my face and in my heart.  I am certain that she has everyone in heaven laughing and am also certain that she and my parents (Chet and Anna Marie Werking) have reunited.  I will always be grateful that she was a part of my growing up.  My deepest condolences to her family and I'm sure, her many friends.

Eileen, you left us too soon. We had more family reunions, more pictures to sort, more stories to tell, more laughing to do, more of so many things to share. You, Betty and Marilyn are all my favorite Aunt in some special place in my life. You were the first to take me from home to visit you and Ralph in Hagerstown. It could have been a thousand miles from New Castle for the excitement Butch I had every time we were going to get to visit. And then, there was the farm in Bainbridge. Going there was our trip back in time to another, simpler world and life. You and Ralph taught us that the simple life close to nature among the trees and animals, the hills and stream, the spring and mushrooms with the wood stove and feather beds was the best way to live in happiness and joy. It would take pages and pages to tell all I would like to share about our life with you. That will be a book, perhaps. But for now, I know that you are on the right hand of God helping Him to laugh just for the joy of laughing and reminding Him that a walk down past the hog lot by the old spring in the ravine and on to Walnut Creek is the best way to enjoy all of His creation.
